Our solution provides real-time insights and optimizations to improve workforce efficiency.
Our mission is to innovate and modernize the rail industry, helping over 500 rail companies in the DACH region eliminate outdated methods like spreadsheets and whiteboards. Our team at Menlo79 is self-bootstrapped and driven to build value for our customers.

The Role

Angular at the heart of our frontend development.
As part of our frontend team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the user-facing cross-platform SPA of our core product, Wilson. You'll collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, testers, and product managers to ensure we deliver high-quality, customer-centric features.
Your contributions will have a direct impact on the experience of our customers, helping us refine and improve our product’s interface while maintaining the best coding practices.
What You'll Do - Develop and maintain the frontend of our web/mobile application using Angular and modern TypeScript technologies.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers to design and implement seamless, performant API integrations.
- Build clean, responsive user interfaces, along with other frontend engineers, that are both functional and visually appealing.
- Optimize application performance to ensure fast loading times and smooth user experiences.
- Contribute to code reviews, sharing knowledge and advocating for best practices in coding, design patterns, and testing to peers and other developers.
- Iterate rapidly in an agile environment, delivering features and improvements in short cycles.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Testing, UX/UI Design, Backend) to deliver business value and meet customer requirements.
Your profile
To be successful in this role, we think you should have the following skills and experience:
- 3+ years of recent Angular experience on a product with paying customers.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with state management (e.g., NGXS or similar)
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote and hybrid environment, communicating well in English.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and how to design and integrate them.
- A team player who can be proactive when necessary.
- Understanding when to cut corners and when to invest.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an eye for good UX and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
- Experience with unit testing through tools like Jest.
Nice to Have
- Strong fundamental understanding of the web and performance related topics.
- Mobile or Cross platform (e.g. Ionic) development experience.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (ideally Gitlab) and best practices.
- Knowledgeable in UI/UX design and contributing to design decisions.
- Some backend experience with NestJs
- Mono-repo tools such as Nx or similar tools.
